The Saints

Those in whom the Church has seen the life of Christ, remembered every day of the year.

The Orthodox Church remembers its saints every day of the year: apostles and prophets, martyrs, monastics, bishops, and holy men and women of every age and place. Each day of the calendar keeps the memory of several, and many Orthodox Christians keep the feast of the saint whose name they bear as their name day. Orthros carries 793 lives of saints, written for Orthros or from the Prologue of Ochrid. Below, find them month by month, by the day of their feast on the New Calendar.
