What the Orthodox Church believes, and how she has held it unbroken from the apostles, told in the words of the Fathers.
Orthodoxy is not one man’s system or one age’s idea. It is the faith handed down from the apostles, guarded by the Fathers, confessed by the martyrs, received, not invented, and passed on unchanged. We do not add to it or subtract from it. We keep it, and we hand it on.
“Contend earnestly for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”
We worship one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: one Essence, three Persons, undivided and unconfused. Not three gods, and not one God wearing three masks, but the mystery the Church has always adored: a unity that is a communion of love.
“No sooner do I conceive of the One than I am illumined by the Splendour of the Three; no sooner do I distinguish Them than I am carried back to the One.”
In Christ, God did not merely visit us, He became one of us, true God and true man, born of the Virgin. The bush that burned unconsumed foreshadowed her who bore the Fire of the Godhead and was not consumed. He took our nature so that we might share His life.
“He was made man that we might be made God.”
We can truly know God, He has made Himself known in Christ, in the Scriptures, in the life of the Church. And still He is beyond all knowing: what reaches us is His grace and His energies, while His very Essence remains past every word and thought. The Fathers call this the bright darkness.
“His operations come down to us, but His essence remains beyond our reach.”
The faith was not left to each person to reinvent. The Church guarded it, in her Scriptures, in the Creed, in the councils where the Fathers named the truth against every distortion. What she holds is not new in any age; it is what has been believed always, everywhere, and by all.
“Hold that faith which has been believed everywhere, always, and by all.”
In Orthodoxy catechesis is never finished. The faith is not a fact to memorize once but a life to grow into, learned again and again, and loved again and again, stone laid upon stone. This is why Orthros gives one small teaching a day, and why it always sends you further than itself.

The faith is not information; it is communion. It is not completed on a page or a screen but at the chalice, in the Liturgy, among the people of God. Everything Orthros teaches points there, to the one medicine that is Christ Himself, given and received.
“Breaking one bread, which is the medicine of immortality.”
