The Confessors

A confessor is a saint who suffered for the faith, by imprisonment, exile or torture, but was not put to death for it. A hiero-confessor is a confessor who was also a clergyman. The Church honours them for holding to Christ when it cost them dearly. Below are the confessors whose lives Orthros carries, each with the day of their feast.
