Beta

  • Fast now and a calmer Watchfulness, church dates that follow your calendar, and safer sync between devices.
What changed
  • Watchfulness can keep a saved fast again with one tap, for fifteen minutes to two hours. A kept fast shows the time left, and new fasts are named for when they are kept.
  • Before its first fast day, the Church's fast explains what will happen and shows the screen a chosen app will wear. A Keep the Fast control in Control Center opens Watchfulness, and the Fast Status shortcut tells you what is kept.
  • Name days, the day's saint recordings and dates in the Bible now follow your calendar, New or Old.
  • Setting up a second device no longer resets your place in The Way, your profile, your audio settings or your place in a prayer rule.
  • A first-week guide sits below the prayer button on Today. Your notes, history and recordings are preserved.

    What changed
    • Watchfulness lets you keep a fast from distracting apps and websites on iPhone and iPad. Choose apps and sites, and pray the Jesus Prayer when you need to open them. The Church's fast is always free to lift.
    • Blocked apps and sites show Orthros's own shield. Choose a lift opens Orthros, and the block returns when the lift ends.
    • Today always offers Watchfulness, and Mac offers a Safari website redirect. Sealed fasts and other advanced options are not available in this beta.
    • Reminders for your own rules open the prayer. Audio, sync, recipes, The Way, Watch, CarPlay and Mac have many reliability fixes, and Orthros opens faster.
    • Your notes, history and recordings are preserved.
