The Saints of March
In March the Orthodox Church remembers many saints; Orthros carries 58 of their lives, on 29 of the month's days. Among them are St Benedict of Nursia (March 14), St Patrick of Ireland (March 17) and St Serapion the Venerable (March 21). The month also keeps the Great Feast of the Annunciation (March 25). Dates are on the New Calendar; on the Old Calendar a fixed feast falls thirteen days later.
