Your prayer data, your devices, and clear choices about what syncs.
What we collect
You do not need an Orthros account to pray or read. Private prayer data stays on your devices and, for supported data when sync is enabled, in your private iCloud account. If you email support, the message and the details you choose to include reach the support team. Leave private prayer, journal, and confession content out of support messages.
No trackers, ever
The website includes no advertising or behavioral analytics scripts and sets no application cookies. Site search matches your words in your browser; your query is not sent to a search or AI service. Pages and public search indexes are delivered by the website hosts, which receive the network requests needed to serve them. Links to TestFlight, Apple, music services, and other websites take you to services with their own privacy terms.
Your prayer stays yours
Supported prayer history, rules, private writing, favorites, reading notes, and selected preferences can sync between iPhone, iPad, and Mac through your private iCloud account. Sync is on by default in the current TestFlight build and can be paused in Your Lamp → Privacy & Sync. Deleting the app does not delete its iCloud copy. Privacy & Sync provides separate export and cloud-deletion controls; cloud deletion preserves the local copy and leaves sync off.
Recordings and downloads
Personal recording files, their titles and shelves, and downloaded audio do not automatically sync through iCloud. Keep the original files in a place you control. A recording transfer you approve to a paired Apple Watch creates a separate device copy. Optional music services keep their own accounts and playback requirements.
When you buy Orthros+
The public beta is free to install. Planned prices and programs are described on the Pricing page. When a purchase becomes available, its checkout must show the price, terms, payment provider, and any account information required for access. A purchase does not require sharing prayer, journal, or confession content. Review the terms shown for the specific purchase route before buying.
