The Saints of October

In October the Orthodox Church remembers many saints; Orthros carries 74 of their lives, on 31 of the month's days. Among them are St Dionysius the Areopagite (October 3), St Demetrius of Thessalonica (October 26) and St Cyriacus of Jerusalem (October 28). Dates are on the New Calendar; on the Old Calendar a fixed feast falls thirteen days later.
