Diomedes was born at Tarsus in Cilicia and trained as a physician, healing both bodies and souls and bringing many pagans to baptism. Coming to Nicaea, where he healed and preached, he was sought by the soldiers of Diocletian; on the road he stepped aside to pray and gave up his soul.
