The life of Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon and Parmenas

Prochorus was made bishop of Nicomedia by the Apostle Peter. Afterward he went with John the Theologian and shared his exile on Patmos, and there he set down in writing the Revelation as John spoke it. He returned to Nicomedia and turned many from the old gods, and at Antioch he was killed for the faith.

Nicanor was stoned at Jerusalem on the same day as Stephen the Protomartyr, and a great many other Christians with him.

Timon was sent by the apostles to be bishop at Bostra in Arabia. He was thrown into a furnace and came out of it unhurt, and he was crucified for Christ afterward.

Parmenas preached Christ in Macedonia, and there he fell asleep.
