Tone 5
The resurrection hymns of the Octoechos.
The Octoechos is the Church's system of eight tones of music, and the book of the hymns sung in each. St John of Damascus is credited with ordering the Church's music in this way. The Sunday hymns of the Resurrection change from week to week through the eight tones, in an eight-week cycle that begins again with tone 1 on Thomas Sunday, the Sunday after Pascha.

As the Father and Spirit are unoriginate,
so the Word, who was born from the Virgin for us.
Let us praise Him, O believers, and let us worship Him.
For our salvation He was pleased
to be crucified in the flesh,
and to undergo death,
and to resurrect the dead, by His glorious resurrection.
O my Savior, You descended into the netherworld, and You shattered its gates, for You are almighty God. O Creator, with yourself You raised the dead of all time, and You utterly destroyed the sting of death, O Christ. O benevolent Master, You freed Adam from the ancient curse. Therefore we all cry to You: Save us, O Lord.
Mentally amazed by the angelic apparition, inwardly illumined by the divine resurrection, the Myrrh-bearing Women brought good tidings to the Apostles. “Proclaim the resurrection of the Lord among the Gentiles, as He works with you by signs and miracles, and He grants to us the great mercy.”
