Orthodox Pascha 2028

Orthodox Pascha, Easter, in 2028 is April 16.

In 2028 Orthodox Pascha falls early, on April 16. The paschalion sets it on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox, reckoned on the Julian calendar and always after the Jewish Passover; in 2028 that full moon comes early.

The Apostles’ Fast in 2028

Because it runs from the Monday after All Saints to the eve of Ss Peter and Paul, its length changes every year with Pascha. In 2028 it is 17 days on the New Calendar, and 30 days on the Old.

New Calendar and Old share every date above: Pascha and its cycle are reckoned the same way by all Orthodox. Only the fixed feasts differ, by thirteen days. About Pascha ›
