Does the fast get stricter in Holy Week?
The fast deepens for the final days, as the Church walks with the Lord to His Passion. Many keep a very strict fast now, some fasting more fully on Great Friday, the day of the Crucifixion. These days are given more to the services than to questions of the table: Bridegroom Matins, the Twelve Gospels, and the Lamentations at the tomb. Keep what your priest gives you, and keep the church.
