The fast deepens for the final days, as the Church walks with the Lord to His Passion. Many keep a very strict fast now, some fasting more fully on Great Friday, the day of the Crucifixion. These days are given to the services · the Bridegroom Matins, the Twelve Gospels, the Lamentations at the tomb · more than to any question of the table. Keep what your priest gives you, and keep the church.
