Dairy, eggs, and fish allowed

No meat: the gentle threshold of Lent

During Cheesefare week, meat is set aside while dairy, eggs, fish, wine, and oil remain. This includes Wednesday and Friday. The Church leads us toward Great Lent by degrees, giving the table a gentle first step before the full fast begins on Clean Monday.

The calendar names the common rule. Your parish and priest remain the measure for how you keep it.

The measure is yours to receive, ask your priest.
